While this event was created to honor the memory of Brooke Posey, who passed away in 2016, our Southern Yacht Club swim family has once again experienced the heartbreaking loss of one of our own. This year, we are honored to dedicate the Brooke E. Posey Swim-a-Thon & Family FUNraiser to the memory of Josie Devall, a kind-hearted and beloved sixth grader who passed away earlier this year.

Josie’s love for summer swim team, her bright spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her made a lasting impact on our community. In recognition of that love, we are proud to host this year’s Swim-a-Thon in her honor. At the request of her family, proceeds from this year's event will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities® of South Louisiana, helping provide comfort and support to families during some of life's most challenging moments.
