Who: Adults & children of all ages!

What: Swim to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of South Louisiana.

When/Where: Swim anytime and anywhere between Friday, July 24 and Sunday, August 9, 2020.

How to Participate:

  1. Register and pay $35 entry fee ($15 non refundable registration fee and $20 tax deductible donation)(Registered swimmer's will receive a drawstring bag, 2020 Swim-a-thon t-shirt and other items on a designated pick up date to be determined at a later date) below anytime between Thursday, July 9th through Sunday, August 9.
  2. Set a personal swim challenge goal and solicit sponsors to raise funds based on completing that goal between Friday, July 24th-Sunday, August 9th. Sponsor forms can be found HERE.
  3. Collect donations from your sponsors after the challenge is completed. Sponsors can pay online or by mail (with simmer's name included). All donations are due by August 18, 2020.
  4. Join fellow swimmer's at a Virtual Zoom Celebration on Sunday, August 23rd at 5 p.m. to announce prize winners, celebrate accomplishments and to announce amount raised for RMHC-SLA.

**Important information for determining maximum lap donation**

*The swimmer's level of ability may affect the sponsor's level of commitment. A less experienced swimmer may only be able to swim 1-4 laps without stopping; whereas high school/master swimmers can swim a mile or more (66 laps/mile).

RULES

If the swimmer is going to swim the traditional laps, (a) the lap shall be a continuous swim from one end of the pool to the other, any speed, any stroke (b) No touching the bottom of the pool or stopping while swimming laps (c) have someone count the swimmer's laps.

Our goal every year is for everyone to have a great time while raising money to support a local children's charity in the New Orleans Area.
