$12,300. One incredible community. Two very special girls whose memories continue to make a difference.

We are thrilled to share the final results from this year's Swim for Josie! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our swimmers, sponsors, donors, volunteers, families and friends, we raised $12,300 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana in honor of Josie Devall!

This year's Swim for Brooke was especially meaningful as our community came together to remember Josie and surround her family with love and support. What started as a day of swimming became something so much bigger—a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for one another.

The $12,300 raised will help Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana provide a home away from home, comfort, and support to families with seriously ill or injured children.

To everyone who swam, sponsored, donated, volunteered, attended, shared our posts, or supported us in any way—

THANK YOU.

YOU MADE THIS POSSIBLE

We are so grateful to the Devall family for allowing us to honor Josie in such a special way. It was a privilege to celebrate her life and memory while helping other families in her name.💕

Brooke's legacy has always been about kindness, and this year's event was a beautiful example of that kindness in action.

Testimonials

“It was a tremendous honor for Hope House to be selected as a beneficiary of The Brooke E. Posey Swim-A-Thon at the Southern Yacht Club. This event not only raised vital funds but also increased awareness of our mission to help children heal and seek justice after experiencing child abuse. The Swim-A-Thon was incredibly enjoyable, and it quickly became our team's favorite fundraiser to date.”

"We are incredibly grateful to have been chosen as the recipient of the 2022 Swim for Brooke family fun day. It was wonderful and inspiring to see the children and families of the community come together for a day of FUNraising! These funds will be used to support children fighting pediatric cancer with funds dedicated to research and by helping to build Walker’s Imaginarium at New Orleans Children’s Hospital. Walker’s Imaginarium will be a 12,000 square foot space packed with family fun spaces for music, art, games and SO much more. Walker’s Imaginarium will be a place that children undergoing treatment can explore, find joyful moments and just be a kid while in the hospital."

"We were deeply honored to have been chosen as the 2024 recipient of the Brooke E Posey Swim-A-Thon, and are still shocked that a whopping $15,500 was raised for STAIR! This fundraiser helped us purchase and print materials such as writing journals and student guides. We had a blast working with the BEP team, and were struck by how close-knit the community of support was- from the Southern Yacht Club and Seagull Swim Teams, to the neighbors and family, everyone was all in on the Swim-A-Thon and gave so much of their time. We were so grateful to have been a part and look forward to supporting next year's recipient!"

The funds raised from the Swim for Brooke swim-a-thon allowed us to continue to provide support services to children with life-threatening diseases and their families throughout Louisiana. this helped with giving gift cards for unexpected costs in the hospital and helped provide gifts for the children and their siblings, all of this at no cost for the family.
